REDS AND BLUES
Overly depressed,
body, mind soul stressed,
the undermining effects of being anonymous,
inconsequentially he is unknown to us.
Overwhelming, the price of fame,

A companion to relieve mind
off stress, but blind
to its inverse effects
caution, warning, neglect.
Plunged into an ocean of addiction,
Pills and Potions.
Caged by freedom,
none with wisdom
could not possibly foresee
the untimely demise of Brenda Fassie,
a little overdose on cocaine
and go Kurt Cobain
as Marylin Monroe
woke up in her grave tomorrow
heart broken as tears drop from us
for there is no rehab for a corpse......
