ATMOSPHERE OF GRIEF

ATMOSPHERE OF GRIEF

Earth, a spinning cemetery
Homes are living mortuaries
Posters of obituary
Waiting for everybody

As the our glass drains
En-caved, Enslaved to pains
My souls in chains

My mind free to wander
Drifts faraway Jupiter
So cold I shiver

Set my soul free
From this solitary
Confinement called the body

Inevitability,
Craving for eternity
Like a vampire, certainty
Death is surety.

THE FREE STATE

THE FREE STATE

Send me to oblivion
The state of freedom
Whence vanquished imperialists
Become devoted communists
Here reside no inequalities
Time freezes
The realm of peace
No panic, No rush
No lust, No crush
No heartaches,
No heartbreaks,
No depression, No economic inflation
No ego deflation
Absolute peace
My soul, the winds and the seas
No enemies, No venom
No scorpions No companion

Tears flow with the liquor
The souls I mourn for.
Play the bagpipes
Plucked so unripe
Married to inevitability
An unholy matrimony

HIGHWAY TO HELL

HIGHWAY TO HELL

Like a steeple chaser
I keep running
From dusk till morning
Faster than a cheetah
Dodging arrows at night
And bullet by dawn
Evading facial frown
From ungodly sights
Even in my dreams
With my eyes closed
I’m hitting the road
And in my stream
Of total unconsciousness
My feet still accelerates
At a geometric rate
Wheeled with wariness
With no slim chance
For a narrow escape
With a grievous gape
I’m talking no stance.

Highway to hell,
Devil do you see my headlight?
Expecting me day and night
Preparing space to dwell.

THORNS AND THISTLES

THORNS AND THISTLES

In His merciful nature,
cursed His wonderful creature.
Generation unborn to suffer
sins of the father
Multiple sorrows at conception,
Nine months of gestation.
Like a soldier fighting for survival,
I cut through my mother's placenta
with no armory
As she wailed in agony.
For crimes not committed
to this penitentiary I was convicted.
 Morphing into a strong man
my mortal journey began.

Dawn till night fall I toil,
cursed is the soil,
sweat all over my forehead,
before I eat bread.
So much stress till fever,
Sweet savior SATIVA.
Hustle and bustle,
Thorns and Thistle,
the plants in my garden.
Searching for Eden,
guarded by cherubs with flaming swords
as commanded by God.
The day of my rest,
The day of my death.

EN ROUTE TO THE GREAT BEYOND

EN ROUTE TO THE GREAT BEYOND

En route to the great beyond,
No means to abscond
Path perfectly paved
Not that it was craved
for with excitement
Resting in this rectangular confinement
Leather so soft
Hopes not held aloft
Regards received by the undertakers
Carcass ready for scavengers
A large crowd commanded
In black they’re all branded
Weeping while wailing
Memory lane trailing
Confinement lowered into the pit
Destination is six feet
Blessings given by the reverend
Tears flow from the brethren
Dust we all came from
To dust we all return
Covered beneath earths sight
Never to see sunlight

HARBINGER OF DEATH

HARBINGER OF DEATH

Taunting dreams
Bursting blood streams
A death dealer
Inevitability I deliver
To your door step
Without much of a prep
I get you on your way
Less resistance, Less delay

Donning a black mask
Never impossible the task
My sight meets yours
Last sight it does
See, blood on my hands
Soiling sacred sands
My presence brings
Tremors that stings

Harbinger of death
I’m why their families wept
Replacing smiles with grimace
Remorse written all over my face
Scared to shut my eyes
I hear their cries
Infiltrating my head
Laying on my bed

Seeking retribution
Searching for redemption
For my evil deeds
For terminating those seeds
Hoping to meet my fate
At heaven’s gate.

EPITAPH

Epitaph

Past a score year on earth
Still don’t understand the path of death
Where do I go from here?
Are conditions really peaceful over there?
After much first time of strife,
Do I return back for an afterlife?
No matter how many times the earth turns
I shall pass through this world but once.

I don’t know what Hades hold
The truth never unfolds
Someday we all fall
But before I answer my great call
At least I still have
This chance to choose the words of my epitaph.

“The controversial character’s time is done,
The poet and sage is gone,
Rest there in the upper coast,
Find the ultimate peace you desire most.”

AXE MURDER OF 1877

Axe murder of 1877,,,

An ambiguous controversy
Indeed, an unresolved mystery
It occurred in her father’s mansion
Plunging the nation into tension
When the cops came
They met a beautiful dame
And two lifeless bodies
With axe cuts and bruises
No blood on her hands,
Not even the jury understands
So she was acquitted of parricide
The truth unknown to decide
Days later, she was seen burning a dress
The case was brought to regress
What could have lead?
Her to axe her both parents in the head?
Blindfold by greed?
Maybe jealousy spurred her evil deed?
For her father had altered his will
To her step mom’s name to fill
So she plotted to kill
Them both, for her to steal
The estate and properties
Damming the consequences
Alerting the cops
Claiming someone had murdered their corpse
No eyewitnesses
Left the court with no evidence
Her innocence she crave
Taking the truth of her grave.

MOONLESS SKY

Moonless sky

Lens fixated upwards,
Tense the atmosphere
Cold wind blows
Sorrowful tears flows
Uneasiness in the air
That moment onwards
Hearts remained sober
Thunder and lighting clashes
Dark clouds loom
Closing on the tomb
Tear drops in rainfall shower
Brothers mourn
Adversaries rejoice
Echoes of anguish
All hopes relinquish
Grief in every voice
Eclipse of emotion dawn
Starring at the moonless sky
Wondering why the young die.

MISERY

MISERY

What is misery?
Even if not felt in the same degree
Moulds of unshowered
Mist that’ll soon be overpowered
By the sunshine of the Inner Strength
No sign of relief even as we take a deep breath
Sights of cruel scenes
Sour taste of ludicrous vermins
Endless sorrows of beings.

A world filled with agony
Compromising state of melancholy
Situations gloomy and humorless
Discomforting wariness
Frightful feeling of despair
Uncertainty forms parts of the compounds of the air
Still very hard to comprehend
If all these will someday come to an end.
